Okay, I’ll come right out and say it – I hate the two truths and a lie game. It’s the most overplayed getting to know you game ever, and it’s my least favorite. I also hate coming up with unique facts about myself, so you can see why I don’t really love the game two truths and a lie. But I do love the idea! So I came up with a way to take the idea of having two truths and a lie and turn it into a game that I love. And that I hope you love. I’ve already done this once with this historical figures two truths and a lie game, then with romantic comedies and it was a huge hit. So now I’m doing it with a more popular group – Star Wars characters! So here you have it, Star Wars two truths and a lie. How many can you get right? This would be super fun to play as one of many things to do on Star Wars Day or something to do on a Star Wars trivia night!
How to Play
This game is so simple to play. All you need is the printable game you can get at the bottom of this post plus pens for everyone playing. There are two totally different versions just in case you want to play twice! That’s it! To play, have everyone go through the two truths and a lie game and circle the statement that they think is a lie about that particular character. Don’t know the answer? Use the process of elimination to narrow it down. For example, if you know that Baby Yoda is 50, then cross that one off because you know that’s not the false statement. Then you have a 50/50 shot of getting the false statement. Don’t know if any of them are correct? Just guess, that’s part of the fun of it!
Team Play
You could also do this in team play! Split into teams of 2-3 people and let teams go through the statements together. Or instead of handing out papers to everyone, simply read out the statements and have them write down the number they think is false on a sheet of paper. Or do it virtually and again have them write it on a piece of paper. Or count to three and people have to put up their guess. Or split into larger teams and have teams choose an answer then run up and show their answer to the host of the game. There are so many different ways you could use these questions – get creative!
Question Answers
Once everyone has finished, go through the answers together. The answers come with the downloadable PDF you can get at the bottom of this post! One correct answer equals one point. Keep track of how many points people get, whether they’re earning points by circling the correct false statement on their own paper, working with a team, or earning points in a virtual game. The person who has the most points at the end wins! Any of these fun Star Wars gifts would make a great prize!
